Saturday, September 14, 2024’s Annual 5KM Run for Youth Addiction Awareness is more than an event, it’s a community movement shining a light on addiction and mental health. This run not only acknowledges the hardships and adversity faced by many but also celebrates the incredible journey of recovery for individuals in our city. It holds space for those we’ve lost, those actively struggling with addiction, and those who have found hope in recovery.
This year marks a special milestone – the Terminator Run Turns Ten! We’re pulling out all the stops to celebrate a decade of strength, support, and community. Together, we’ve achieved so much, but there’s still more to be done. As we reach this major milestone, your support is more crucial than ever in fueling our mission and amplifying our impact.
Since its inception in 2015, the Terminator Run has been more than just a race, it’s a testament to the power of community, courage, and compassion. Our founder, Vanisha Breault’s unwavering determination to shed light on the often-taboo topics of youth addiction and mental health has set the stage for a movement that continues to resonate today. Through her bravery and openness about her family’s struggle, she sparked conversations, inspired change, and offered hope to countless individuals and families navigating similar challenges.
As we approach our milestone tenth year, the Terminator Foundation’s mission remains steadfast: To transform lives through our Activity-Based Recovery Therapy Program (ABRT). Every step taken and every dollar raised contributes to breaking down barriers, eradicating stigma, and empowering individuals to reclaim their lives from the grips of addiction and mental illness.
But this year, we’re not just celebrating the past, we’re embracing the future with renewed vigor and purpose. With your support, we’re making the Terminator Run bigger and better than ever before. While we can’t reveal all the surprises just yet, we promise an experience that transcends expectations, ignites inspiration and fosters meaningful connections. By participating in the Terminator Run, whether as a donor, a participant, or a volunteer, you become an integral part of our journey toward lasting change. Your generosity fuels our efforts to provide essential resources, support services, and innovative therapies to those in need.
Together, we’re rewriting the narrative surrounding addiction and mental health, replacing despair with hope, and proving that recovery is not only possible but inevitable.
Join us on September 14, 2024, as we come together to run, walk, and unite in solidarity with individuals and families affected by addiction and mental health challenges.
