Created by a culinary team with experience at Michelin-starred restaurants such as Noma in Denmark and Eleven Madison Park in New York City, Acorn delivers artistry on the plate with its locally sourced cuisine that features a range of raw, vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. In the Riley Park neighbourhood on Main Street, Acorn has been a hit since opening in 2012, a long-time dream realized by owner/operator Shira Blustein. Chefs Rob Clarke and Brian Luptak’s creativity continually inspire guests with their seasonally evolving menu.
You must order: Peas + Carrots ($11), an inventive dish that shows off Acorn’s culinary panache. It’s a match for gluten-free, raw and vegan diners, and features coconut cashew dumplings and carrot foam, a nice microgastronomic touch.
Menu price range: $9-$20 for dinner items and $10-$14 for brunch items that have a variety of culinary influences.
