In just one year since opening, chef Brett McDermott has established a thriving business designed to make on-the-go eating healthy and delicious. Straddling Bankview and Upper Mount Royal, Our Daily Brett is a retail market and restaurant that uses local ingredients to create a nutritious and flavourful menu.
During the day, customers can pop in for lunch, coffee and other treats to stay or to go. Each weekday at 4 p.m., grab-and-go dinners are available for Calgarians who want to take home a healthy meal after work. Many items are free of dairy or gluten and the menu changes frequently as McDermott sources seasonal ingredients.
You must order: Sockeye Salmon Salad ($18) when it’s on the menu. It features citrus-cured B.C. sockeye salmon, shredded beets and carrots, sprouted organic chickpeas, sunflower seeds, avocado and mixed greens with a fermented coconut vinaigrette.
Menu price range: $9-$32, with the most expensive items being the take-home evening meals.
