COPA recognizes outstanding achievement in Canada’s digital media each year, and finalists included CBC, Postmedia, Global News, The Walrus and HuffPost Canada.
“What an honour to be recognized among such prestigious publishers,” said Elaine Kupser, Publisher & Editor-in-Chief, who has been publishing IMPACT for over 29 years.
IMPACT Magazine picked up a Gold for their Summer 2020 Digital Edition – Best Branded Content where almost $100,000 of free advertising was offered to businesses in support of those going through such difficult times; plus cutting-edge editorial including ‘A Change of Course for the Race Industry’ to ‘The Business of Fitness’ – two industries hit hard by the pandemic.
“The magazine industry has also been hit very hard this past year, but if you can’t help others during a global pandemic, then when?” said Kupser. “We are fighting our way through this difficult time just like everyone else, and we’re determined to work together to get to the other side.”
IMPACT Magazine also picked up a Silver for their Best of Food 2020 Digital Edition – Best Photo Journalism, a compilation of over 220 pages of their best food and nutrition articles from previous years – an early response to pivoting to a digital publication before coming back to print in the fall of 2020.
“Thank you Canadian Online Publishing Awards (COPA). It is an honour to be recognized by our peers in the industry for our hard work and dedication and to be viewed as one of the best!. We are proud to share these achievements with our staff, contributors, photographers, advertisers and readers – this award is because of all of you!
