One of the first things you’ll notice about FABRIQ’s Chorus smart speaker is that it looks sharp. It’s available in multiple clean, modern cloth patterns that will blend into your decor and make you forget it’s even there. We found the setup instructions simple but temperamental for both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, requiring multiple tries to get up and running on both interfaces.

Once up and running the 8W speaker offers reasonable volume for its size and sounds great with most genres of music that aren’t too bass heavy. The charging station is small, sleek and very easy to use. The battery itself offers a surprisingly long charge, opening up the opportunity to use the Chorus on the road when paired with Bluetooth devices. The Chorus also connects to numerous streaming services for easy access to music and includes Amazon’s Alexa Voice Service to easily manage the controls, handsfree.

Bottom line: The FABRIQ Chorus is versatile, affordable ($129 CAD) and aesthetically and acoustically beautiful, albeit a little bit clunky to set up.
